- Nvidia will acqui-hire AI chip startup Groq‘s assets and exec team in a $20B deal
- Meta agreed to buy a startup called Manus, adding a popular artificial intelligence agent to its effort to build a business around its massive AI investment. The deal values Manus at more than $2 billion, people familiar with the matter said.
- Coinbase (Nasdaq: COIN) agreed to buy prediction markets startup The Clearing Co., which this year raised $15m in seed funding from USV, Coinbase, Asylum Ventures, Haun Ventures Management, Compound, Rubik Ventures, Cursor Capital, Variant, and Earl Grey Capital.
- ServiceNow (NYSE: NOW) agreed to acquire SF-based cyber exposure management company Armis for $7.75b in cash. Armis has raised , $1.45b in VC funding, most recently at a $4.2b valuation, from firms like Insight Partners, CapitalG, One Equity Partners, General Catalyst, Alkeon Capital, Brookfield Technology Partners, and Georgian.
- Alphabet agreed to acquire Intersect, a San Francisco-based energy and data center infrastructure company, for $4.75 billion. The acquisition includes TPG Rise Climate’s stake in the company.
- Stonepeak and Energy Equation Partners acquired a 65% stake in JET, a London, U.K.-based fuel retailer, from Phillips 66 for approximately €2.5 billion ($2.9 billion).
- Baseten agreed to acquire Parsed, an AI reinforcement learning startup emphasizing post-training. Financial terms weren’t disclosed.
- NVIDIA agreed to acquire SchedMD, a Lehi, Utah-based developer of open-source workload management system Slurm.
- Bain Capital acquired Service Logic, a Charlotte, N.C.-based HVAC services provider, from Leonard Green & Partners. Financial terms were not disclosed.
- GI Partners agreed to acquire Netwatch, a Lake Forest, Calif.-based provider of AI-powered security services. Financial terms were not disclosed.
- Initial Group, backed by TPG, acquired Silver Tribe Media, a Los Angeles, Calif. and New York City-based platform for building YouTube and podcast businesses. Financial terms were not disclosed.
- ProSites, backed by Rockbridge Growth Equity, acquired GeniusVets, a San Diego, Calif.-based veterinary marketing and engagement company. Financial terms were not disclosed.
- StayTerra, backed by Garnett Station Partners and Bessemer Venture Partners, acquired a majority stake in Cape & Coast Premier Properties, a Cape San Blas, Fla.-based luxury vacation rental management company. Financial terms were not disclosed.
