Personal Update ‼️
This past year has been a wild ride for Sourcery. Though it was personally the hardest year of my life (so far), taking new risks, sacrificing ‘stability’ over & over again, moving around cities, leaving ‘institutional VC’ for the first time in 6 years to go the FO route, testing things out, embarrassing myself, traveling a ton, and more.. Sourcery totally crushed it. Organically, we expanded our media presence reaching over 4.5+ million impressions, ~2x’ing our subscriber count, completing 39 interviews, and growing audiences across Linkedin, X, and YouTube.
(still can’t believe Rogan asked me for a photo..)
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned along the way is, yeah, ‘just go do the thing.’ Being an active player, growing your own personal brand or business, putting yourself out there in the world & all over the internet, cold outreaching to people you admire, can truly benefit you more than anything else. And it also feels good to have just a small ounce of agency!? I wouldn’t have been able to build these incredible opportunities and relationships otherwise. (I’ve always envied founders for this)
With a ton of very early 4:30am mornings & late nights (ultimately looking like a sand worm) creating all of this Sourcery outside of my day job, I can say it was worth it. I am so excited to share the following updates.. & maybe even more thrilled that these will help me get back extra REM sleep cycles. Thank you all so much for the support along the way! I couldn’t have done it without you.
Sourcery’s Upgrades
Permanently discounting our subscription 70% off to $165/yr, or $15/mo
While we came out with a bang last February relaunching Sourcery with a podcast in hand and very eager to grow a media empire, I realized along the way just how hard it is (shocking), as one person, to constantly pump out thoughtful, well-researched pieces. And on top of that, with a full time investing job, it’s just overall very difficult to manage. Truthfully, as fun as it sounded, I wasn’t sure if I had the guts to take it full time, or if that was something I even wanted to do with a ‘media company’ - and I learned it isn’t. 1. I am not rich & need real income, 2. My personal risk tolerance isn’t there yet, 3. I just love investing too much, being a part of a team, researching markets & companies, networking, and having this unique perspective of the world. Sourcery will continue to be my side thing fueled by investing. However.. I wouldn’t necessarily be opposed to a Sourcery Fund in the coming years.. my deal flow has elevated with the pod & it would be nice to have somewhere to put it all 👀.
But alas, I am still addicted to the stress and constant learning while building Sourcery, so we’re not going anywhere, and we’re making it more affordable for our audiences. Every subscription unlocks all content from full pod deep dives + deal announcements, and helps fund the time, backend, Sourcery Pod production, and research to make great content. P.S. by popular demand, we’re keeping our “expense it” tier for all of you unicorn fund managers & crypto geniuses.

Partnership with Passes:
Our latest big step is our partnership with Passes. This collaboration gives us access to a professional podcast recording studio in Los Angeles, enhancing our local production capabilities! Moreover, we can now leverage the vast resources on the Passes site to further enrich our content. I'll be releasing my podcast episodes early exclusively on Passes (CHECK OUT PACKY’S FULL POD OUT NOW HERE), inviting you to submit questions that I'll feature in our podcasts, sharing extended episodes, and BTS stories just for our subscribers..
After our pod with Founder Lucy Guo, I got to know the team well and was blown away by the tech & white-glove services behind Passes. They’ve built something seriously impressive, and I’m excited to be part of it!
